Haystack, son of Biscuit, proved to be one of the most prolific producers ever on Bulldog Hill. He was a fine example of a prepotent cross of genes from Alligator and from Chinaman. And he passed forward his gifts with great generosity.
Haystack is now deceased, so naturally we are invested in finding a replacement son of his that will possess and pass forward the drive and intensity that characterize the Haystack dogs. One of the best females we had from Haystack was Miss Biscuit II; she was from Haystack to his half sister, also off Biscuit. The abundance of Biscuit genes was much of what set Miss Biscuit apart from the rest. Adding Haystack twice more to her genetics only elevates the probability of duplicating the Haystack/Biscuit magic. DoubleStax is the product of concentrating all of this pedigree promise in a candidate for replacing the great Haystack. Early indications are that his offspring show the same aptitudes that he possesses and that his prepotent sire Haystack produced.
