Garner's Tramp Redboy has been the preeminent Bass' Tramp Redboy/Cottingham's Redman stud in the world since he was 3 years old. Many yards and programs have been built around him and his offspring over the past 7 years and most of our customers are repeat customers. In short, there is a high degree of satisfaction that has come from the genetics from this fine animal. Redboy is now 9 years old and we must begin to think of finding/creating his replacement. Redboy still looks, moves and reproduces like a young dog, but a prudent breeder prepares for the future before it's arrival
With Redboy, as with most studs, there are multiple types of dogs that can come from his ancestry, the Cottingham line. As we unpack the genetics from this fine line, we see several discrete types of animals that are in the yield. It is my judgement that all successful types should be given an opportunity to show their unique worth. In this case there are two littermate brothers that are vying to be the heir apparent of the Tramp Redboy Throne. Their dam is Ginger, littermate sister of Tramp Redboy. One brother, Redboy Jr, is a near clone of his sire Tramp Redboy. The other, a rugged rednose we call Red John, is of a type that I often saw on Durant's yard back in the 1990's.
